Trip Introduction

Saribung trekking and expedition is named from newly opened expedition peak(saribung) in Nepal ,located closed to Dhamodhar Himal, forbidden kingdom of Upper mustang. Saribung trekking route opened in 2006 is one of new trekking route but equally challenging trek in Nepal due to many high passes between dhamodhar kunda to Nar phu Valley. Saribung expedition itself is not a challenging expedition but more than a week trekking over snow glaciers and high altitude walking make saribung expedition more demanding.

Saribung trekking & Expedition route starts from unique unspoiled restricted trekking area of Upper mustang where stil tibetan cultures is preserved. Century old monasteries, incredible self originated geographical caves and countryside, district with own king, the upper mustang trek is main route for saribung expedition and trek. Our saribung trek route follow same traditional route upto Lo-manthang of Mustang after Dramatic flight to Jomsom from pokhara. Very few tourists can enjoy this trek upto Lo-manthang and after Lo-manthang to Dhamodhar Lake( kunda) and trekking and climbing over saribung pass( 6346m) with many snow glaciers and high passes, we finally reach at Narphu, another newly opened trekking area of Nepal which still follows real Tibetan cultures. The most interesting part of Saribung trekking and expedition is you will start trek from one place and end at another place without repeating any trekking places during your trip. Incredible scenery, peoples and their real cultures, ancient buddhist religions of all four sects( Nyingma pa, Geluk Pa, Shakya Pa, Kagyu pa) and monasteries of over 2000 years old is stil preserved and historical caves and natural geographical hills make your trek is really interesting. Dhamodhar Kunda, a secred lake, which is worshiped as pilgrimage lake, located at 4900m is another part of world. After Dhamodhar Kunda, trekking and climbing of saribung peak( 6346m) and trek down to Narphu valley is lifetime experiece for best mountain scenery and very less people travelling route of Nepal. After Narphu, our trek follow normal route to Besisisahar which is beginning point of Annapurna circuit and trip end here.

Saribung trekking and saribung expedition is highly recommend for those trekkers who wish to have real adventure challenge of trekking and climbing without having crowd in the trek. September/october is best month for this adventure and March to may is best months for spring.
